YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN)- The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown is celebrating national heritage with two new donations.
Presidential Flag and Yellow Flag are now part of the museum’s permanent collection.
Both are works by internationally acclaimed artist Mateo Blanco, who is recognized for his innovative use of American symbols.
Presidential Flag, crafted in gold and platinum leaf, is a tribute to Blanco’s friendship with President George H. W. Bush. Yellow Flag” is a bold digital graphic from his celebrated Flags series.

The Butler is the world’s first museum dedicated exclusively to American art.
