Suffolk’s county town will have two representatives at Glastonbury 2025 this year, with both Nina Arya and Native James taking to the BBC Music Introducing stage at the festival, which is being held over the final weekend in June.
Alternative rap artist Native James – real name Aaron James – has already had a great year, being nominated for an award at the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards.

He said: “It is honestly an honour to be playing at the biggest festival in the UK so soon.
“I can’t believe I have been picked, it’s insane.
“Thank you to the BBC Suffolk and Internal team for putting me forward.”

Ipswich singer Nina Arya, who featured in our seven artists to keep an eye on in Suffolk for 2025, will also perform at the festival.
Last year, she performed at Reading and Leeds festivals and said she couldn’t wait to play more shows in 2025.

Following the announcement of her at Glastonbury, she said: “I’m beyond excited to be sharing the stage with such a gorgeous line-up and biggest love to Jasmine Takhar, Angelle Joseph and BBC Asian Network for the endless support.”
The duo were put forward by BBC Introducing in Suffolk and Norfolk radio DJ Angelle Joseph.
She said: “To be able to platform Suffolk artists at a festival so huge is hopefully aspirational to others to keep on keeping on.
“I’ve seen them both from hearing their very first song to the evolution of the artists we see today, and they have worked so hard. Can’t wait to see how they do.”
