David Liversage is a member of Laverstock Artists, whose paintings are on show in the library’s upstairs gallery until June 28.
The group, which has around 20 members, meets on Tuesday afternoons at Laverstock Village hall, led by Fiona Forbes and Fiona Taylor-Scott.
They decide on the subject matter and medium the artists will focus on at each session.

The exhibition opened on Monday (June 2) and is being manned by different members of the group throughout its run.
Visitors can see dozens of paintings across several mediums including watercolour, pastel, acrylic and pencil.
David was manning the exhibition when the Journal visited on Tuesday.

“It’s a really nice variety of mediums,” he said.
“People have spent a lot of time doing this work.
“The general public are encouraged to choose their favourite three, and then at the end it will be totalled up to see whose is the most popular painting.
“It’s nice to be able to display in the city centre and get an audience. There’s a comments box for people to say what they like and what they think of the exhibition.
“Some pieces are not for sale because they really mean something to the person, and some are for sale.”

This is the second time Laverstock Artists have displayed their work at the library’s gallery after a successful exhibition in May last year.
David said: “It’s building up. You get a buzz from seeing your work displayed.
“It’s nice to see people’s reactions, and it’s nice to experiment with different styles and techniques.”
