TikTok for Artists launches alongside new tools for advertisers

In April Music Ally broke the news of the soft-launch of TikTok for Artists, a new analytics platform for musicians built by TikTok. This week it has officially launched worldwide.

It includes daily analytics for artists’ music and posts on TikTok, including insights into the gender, age and language of their followers.

It also includes a pre-release tool that artists can use to encourage fans to pre-save upcoming albums – initially on Spotify and Apple Music. Artists need a certified TikTok account to access the new tools, and they can also open up access to their teams and labels.

It’s a busy week for TikTok, with two more stories afoot today.

First, it has unveiled a bunch of new tools for brands and businesses at its TikTok World event. New insights into what people are watching; an AI-powered tool for buying search ads on TikTok; and various other AI and measurement improvements.

Meanwhile, TikTok is also giving its users a bit more control over their ‘For You’ feeds with a ‘Manage Topics’ feature, as well as smarter filters to boot videos with particular keywords out of their feed.
