In a remarkable convergence of global culture and diplomacy, AIKYAM 2025, a three-day cultural event organized by Sopaan and supported by RMZ, unfolded between November 21-23 at the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Ajanta and Ellora. Marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, the event celebrated art, heritage, and innovation while fostering international dialogue.
Distinguished guests, including ambassadors, cultural leaders, and patrons, experienced the vibrancy of India’s living heritage. Highlights included a keynote address by Dr. Timothy Curtis, director of UNESCO’s Regional Office in India, and a presentation by author-historian William Dalrymple at the historic Kailasa Temple. The audience was captivated by Omkara, a grand ballet choreographed by Gauri Sharma Tripathi featuring artists from seven countries, alongside traditional folk performances and curated Maharashtrian cuisine. Brazilian artist Sergio Cordeiro created a contemporary mural inspired by the Ajanta frescoes, further exemplifying cross-cultural creativity at the event.
AIKYAM underscored the harmonious coexistence of humanity, nature, science, and spirituality through various performances, including a classical concert originally performed at the United Nations in New York. Attendees participated in guided tours of the Ajanta and Ellora caves, deepening appreciation for India’s artistic and architectural legacy.
Udiksha Panshikar, Director at RMZ Real Estate Investments, emphasized the event’s role in highlighting the intersection of cultural heritage, environmental responsibility, and innovation as crucial elements for sustainable future development. Siddhaant Mohta, Co-founder of Sopaan, reflected on AIKYAM as a strategic initiative fostering global understanding through heritage and dialogue. Dr. Timothy Curtis lauded the event as a testament to the sites’ legacy in fostering creativity and cooperation, urging renewed commitment to dialogue and collective action.
Through its continued engagement with Maharashtra’s cultural landscape, RMZ reaffirms its dedication to preserving India’s cultural heritage. Their support for AIKYAM aligns with a broader vision to enhance global collaborations and economic development. The forthcoming RMZ Nexus project in Mumbai signifies the company’s commitment to contributing to the regional economy, as RMZ continues to navigate the fields of real estate, infrastructure, and emerging growth sectors, always ensuring sustainable returns and social impact.
