SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio has a rich cultural heritage with strong Mexican-American influences.
Adriana Garcia calls herself a visual artist and muralist, but she’s also quite the storyteller to many. She is a local artist who draws from personal and collective experiences to craft pieces you’ve probably seen around town.

Garcia is behind such works as the mural at San Pedro Creek Culture Park and Ramirez Park.
“The faces the people who have given me love and supported me I see a lot of dignity in my own family history”
She’s also on the city’s list for public artists. Garcia feels public art, especially murals, creates a visual dialogue that highlights the achievements, contributions, and struggles of Hispanic communities. and with so much growth happening in the city…she says murals transform blank walls into platforms for cultural exchange.

And when she’s not incorporating vibrant colors, traditional motifs, and modern elements into a public space. Garcia is also storytelling through pictures in children’s books. She’s continuing the conversation about identity, heritage, and the future of San Antonio with simple pictures and words.
“It’s creating with emotion and love and that’s how it comes out.”
