Heritage exhibition running at Parklea Branching Out


It is offering a full week of creative displays and daily activities until Friday, August 22.

Open from 10am to 2pm each day, the exhibition showcases work created with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund Scotland, exploring the story of Parklea and Port Glasgow through photography, archaeology, art and more.

On Monday, August 18, the programme includes art and photography workshops, food demonstrations by Tenement Kitchen’s Peter, and a 1.30pm mindfulness session.

Tuesday, August 19, offers photography workshops and willow weaving with Craftkits’ Lorna, with both sessions bookable through Eventbrite.

Wednesday, August 20, features music from Clyde Beats, more workshops, and heritage food discussions with Peter.

Thursday, August 21, continues with photography and cooking demos, and on Friday, August 22, there’s a Garden Ice Cream Lab with Ieva and a mindfulness session at 10.30am.

Guided heritage walks set off daily at 11am and 1pm, herbal tea is served throughout the week, and Branches Café offers complimentary tasters of traditional Scottish dishes.

All events are free to attend.
