Visit Qatar, together with partners from across the sectors concerned, has prepared a packed calendar of events that will go on from October until April next year that have taken into consideration to blend excitement, culture, sports, entertainment and arts all together while providing various programmes to cater to all members of the societies with special focus on families and children.

The events and programmes have been built on the very successful experiences of the country in organising major events that covered sports, culture, arts and heritage. Meanwhile, the scheduled events have taken into consideration to provide Qataris, residents, visitors, and tourists who will take part in such events with all means of comfort and convenience, offering them more expanded and sophisticated facilities in addition to local, regional and international flavours through the participating restaurants, chefs and catering companies.

Eng Abdulaziz Saud al-Tamimi, President of the Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation, noted that “The Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation is pleased to be part of the Qatar Calendar 2025–2026, a centralised platform that brings together leading sporting, cultural, and entertainment events under one national framework. For the first time, Qatar will host the T100 Triathlon World Championship Final in Lusail City from Dec 10-13, 2025. This landmark edition will provide an exceptional experience for athletes and fans alike, combining a 2km swim in the Arabian Gulf, an 80km cycle through the city’s landmark streets, and an 18km run across Lusail Plaza and Lusail Boulevard. The championship will integrate elite competition with amateur participation, alongside community activities that encourage wider engagement in sport and promote healthy lifestyles.”
Jassim al-Jassim, CEO of the Local Organising Committee for Football Events, stated: “The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), together with the Local Organising Committee, is proud to unveil an exciting calendar of world-class sporting events set to take place across Qatar during the 2025–2026 season. These tournaments build on Qatar’s growing reputation as a global sporting hub, following the resounding success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and other major international championships.
“For the first time in history, Qatar will host the FIFA U-17 World Cup with an expanded format featuring 48 national teams. The tournament will run from Nov 3 to 27, 2025, introducing a new system that ensures intense competition and a festival-like atmosphere for players and fans alike. Tickets went on sale from Oct 2 at 3pm (Doha time). Matches will take place at a centralised location, providing fans with an unparalleled tournament experience. Football fans may witness the emergence of the next global superstar right here in Doha.

“The Arab Cup will return to Qatar for its second edition under the FIFA umbrella, after its successful revival in 2021. 16 national teams from across the Arab world will compete in six state-of-the-art FIFA World Cup stadiums. The tournament kicks off on Dec 1, 2025 at Al Bayt Stadium and concludes with the final on Dec 18 at Lusail Stadium. Ticket sales began on Sept 30 at 3pm (Doha time).

“This championship promises to unite Arab fans in a unique celebration of culture, football, and passion. Qatar will also host the FIFA Club World Cup for the second consecutive year, from Dec 10-17 2025, running in parallel with the Arab Cup break days. This edition will feature the world’s top clubs, including continental champions from Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas, alongside Arab representatives, reaffirming Qatar’s role as a leading destination for international football.
“With three back-to-back tournaments, Qatar is set to deliver an unforgettable season of sport, culture, and entertainment. From the stars of tomorrow in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, to the pride of the region in the FIFA Arab Cup, and the world’s elite clubs in the FIFA Club World Cup, fans can expect unparalleled excitement both on and off the pitch.

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Hamad al-Thani, Director of Qatar National Museum, pointed out that: “For five decades, arts and culture in Qatar have been a source of pride and unity, bridging connections with the world, while also playing a vital role in promoting tourism. As part of the Evolution Nation campaign, the Anniversary Exhibition Season offers an opportunity to celebrate this rich cultural journey over 18 months, through a series of exhibitions that highlight Qatar’s achievements and underscore its position as a nation in constant evolution.”
He said: “On behalf of HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Fall/Winter 2025 exhibition season under the national campaign ‘The Nation’s Story of Progress’. This campaign, which extends over 18 months, commemorates fifty years of Qatar’s cultural journey and highlights the country’s achievements in arts, heritage, and creativity.
“Since its founding, Qatar Museums has been dedicated to establishing the nation as a global hub for art and culture. The campaign continues these efforts by showcasing Qatar’s cultural successes while reflecting its aspirations for the future. This season’s calendar goes beyond a schedule of events—it is a celebration of Qatar’s story, its identity, and its dialogue with the world. Through exhibitions and activities, the nation proudly shares its heritage while inviting audiences to engage, discover, and reflect.

“Art lovers and visitors alike can look forward to a wide range of exhibitions across Qatar’s leading museums and cultural spaces. At the National Museum of Qatar, ‘A Nation’s Memory, A People’s Heritage – 50 Years’ marks the institution’s anniversary with a retrospective of its unique role in preserving national identity. The exhibition ‘Returning to the Moonlight: Al-Samriya’ offers insights into the life cycles and challenges of ancient creatures that once inhabited the region.
“Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art will celebrate its fifteenth anniversary with ‘Mathaf at Fifteen: Aspirations’, presenting its rich history as a hub for modern and contemporary art. Meanwhile, the ‘Mutations’ exhibition will feature the works of fifteen contemporary artists in Qatar through an innovative residency programme.
“At M7, ‘Threads of Influence: Arab Fashion’ will spotlight the creativity of more than 80 designers shaping the future of Arab fashion. The award-winning Qatari designer Aisha Al-Suwaidi will present ‘Ink Weaves Words’, a reflection on stories told through calligraphy and textiles, while ‘Poetry in Mysticism’ will explore the connection between art, memory, and spirituality within mystical traditions.
“The Museum of Islamic Art will present ‘From Square to Circle: Architectural Vision’, shedding light on the architectural philosophy behind its design, alongside international contemporary works including ‘A Rock on a Rock’ by Peter Fischli and David Weiss, and ‘Untitled (Bread Ashes)’ by Rirkrit Tiravanija, which invites direct visitor interaction.
“The 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum will host ‘Changing the Rules: Electronic Sports’, exploring the evolution of esports, and ‘From Craftsman to Street: The Story of Sneakers’, which will showcase more than 500 pieces, including over 200 rare pairs, to tell the cultural history of sneakers.
“The Qatar Museums Gallery – Al Riwaq will present ‘Architecture as Life: I.M. Pei’, the first comprehensive retrospective of the architect’s life and work, highlighting his iconic global contributions.
“Looking ahead, Qatar is proud to announce the launch of Art Basel Doha in February 2026, presented in partnership with Art Basel and Qatar Museums, with the support of Qatar Sports Investments. The event will mark the first edition of Art Basel in the region, bringing together leading and emerging artists from Qatar, the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, further solidifying Doha’s position at the heart of the global cultural landscape.
“The Spring/Winter 2025 season reflects Qatar’s commitment to sharing its cultural narrative with pride, fostering creativity, and strengthening its role as a cultural bridge between the region and the world.”
Captain Mohamed Ahmed al-Buainain, Spokesperson for the Doha International Music and Marching Festival Committee, Ministry of Interior, said that “The Ministry of Interior is proud to organise the inaugural edition of the Doha International Music and Marching Festival (Doha Tattoo), taking place at Katara Cultural Village from Dec 16 to 20, as one of the newest additions to the Qatar Calendar 2025–2026 and a milestone in the nation’s line-up of major events.
“The Doha International Music and Marching Festival is a unique platform that celebrates cultural diversity and community connection. It brings together military and cultural bands from around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Turkiye, and the Sultanate of Oman, alongside distinguished Qatari participants from the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, Lekhwiya, the Amiri Guard, and the Ministry of Culture.”
Jassim al-Mahmoud, director of public relations and communications at Visit Qatar, said that the event of launching and announcing is very important as it gives a comprehensive image of the key events and entertainment activities that will take place in Qatar over the period until from October this year April 2026. This will give both Qataris and expatriates a good opportunity to have a full prospective of such calendar with its rich events and diversified programmes. Besides, it gives tourists and visitors to the country a good chance to plan their trips to the country and enjoy their desired events and programmes.
He said that it includes various events that cover culture, history, heritage, arts, sports and entertainment in addition to the rich culinary and shopping experiences. Further, a promotion campaign called Qatar as you like has been launched over various places across the world with almost 15 offices around the world that promote tourism in Qatar globally.
He said that the facilities of the country have undergone constant developments to expand them, make them more comfortable and offer more services.
