The Friends of Windmill Gardens will be hosting their next free family friendly event is on Sunday 10th August, called Art In The Park.
They say:
Get inspired by the natural beauty of Windmill Gardens at our annual Art in the Park event at Brixton Windmill.
We have a range of free drop in workshops on offer throughout the afternoon suitable for adults, children and families working together. This year’s workshops include:
T-shirt painting
Natural jewellery weaving
Junk Flowers
Paper marbling
Windmills with Kids KreateMost activities are free, but donations for materials are always welcome.
It is also possible to take a guided tour of Brixton Windmill during the afternoon, 1-5pm – last tour at 4.40pm. Book a tour here.
A variety of delicious home made cakes and hot and cold drinks will be on sale as well as our colourful range of windmill merchandise, including T-shirts, mugs, tea towels and freshly milled wholemeal flour.
