Library card contest
Artists of all ages can show off their “Main Character Energy” for the Central Arkansas Library System’s Color Your Card, an art contest celebrating the planned fall reopening of the system’s Main Library.
Artists can submit “original artwork that tells a story and brings a bold, imaginative world to life,” according to a news release. Three winning designs — one each from a child (11 and younger), a teenager (12-17), and an adult (18 and up) — will be featured on limited-edition library cards available to the public.
To participate, create original artwork that cannot contain logos or copyrighted imagery and submit (one submission per person) finished designs through the library’s online form (cals.org/color-your-card) by 11:59 p.m. July 31.
Submissions will be judged on artistic merit, creativity and theme. Winners will be announced in August; the cards will be available during the Main Library reopening celebration.
