ICONIC paintings have been given a modern make-over using AI– showing what the models would have looked like had they been pictured now.
Mona Lisa, Girl with the Pearl Earring and The Birth of Venus were reimagined using some of the most popular beauty trends from the last 30 years.
It saw the Birth of Venus, which was painted by Sandro Botticelli in the 1480s, given a classic 1990s makeover, complete with body glitter, nail art and the iconic small butterfly clips in her hair.
While Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa was taken into the early 00’s, with skinny brows, chunky highlights and frosted eyeshadow.
Finally, Girl with a Pearl Earring, painted by Johannes Vermeer in the 1660s, has been given today’s modern look with bold brows, dewy skin and nude coloured lips.
The classic paintings of some of the most famous female muses were reimagined by Perfectil, which explored some of the beauty trends that have come and gone in the three decades since the supplement was launched.
It comes after research revealed smoky eye make-up, ‘the Rachel’ haircut and kohl eyeliner are among the most iconic beauty trends of that time.
While Jennifer Aniston, Kate Middleton and Beyoncé were named the top modern beauty icons of the last three decades.
A spokesperson from Vitabiotics Perfectil, said: “Some of the trends of the last few decades have been iconic, so we wanted to give some iconic paintings a truly iconic look.
“Had Vermeer, Leonardo da Vinci or any of these old masters been around today, these give some indication how their paintings may have looked differently.
“But we all know a lot of these trends are fleeting and many are no longer at the forefront of beauty – although they may well come back again in 30 years’ time.
“While these trends come and go, one thing which truly has stood the test of time is the strong link between beauty and wellness from within to ensure a healthy lifestyle and a diet rich in key nutrients.
“That would also have been the case when these photos were first created, before some of these more iconic trends even became a thing.”
Other beauty icons to have dominated the scene in the last 30 years included Rihanna, Kate Moss and Jennifer Lopez.
While Kim Kardashian may not be best pleased to have placed one spot below her celebrity feud Taylor Swift.
