The works of Claude Monet are set to go digital next month in Downtown Worcester.
Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience will open at the Mercantile Center on Sept. 11, according to a spokesperson for the exhibit.
Tickets are currently on sale on the exhibit’s website.
Created by the interactive exhibition company Exhibition Hub, Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience will feature 360-degree projections of the artist‘s works, along with a virtual reality program that allows people to walk through Monet’s paintings using headsets.
Cited as the founder of Impressionism, Monet was renowned for his paintings, including “Impression, Sunrise,” “Haystack,” and “The Water Lily Pond.”
The exhibit will be located on the first floor of the Mercantile Center where “Van Gogh, The Immersive Experience” was located
The Van Gogh exhibit, which was also created by Exhibition Hub, has finished its run in Worcester, according to its website.
General admission for the Monet exhibit costs $27.90 for people 13 years and older, $23.90 for seniors 65 years and older, students aged 13 to 26, and military personnel and $20.90 for children aged 4 to 12, according to the ticket sales website.
VIP tickets, which include entry to the virtual reality experience and a free poster are $42.90 for adults, $38.90 for students, seniors and military members and $35.90 for children. A group bundle ticket, which is a minimum of eight tickets, costs $25.90 each.
