Editor’s note: The “Eternal Traveler: Ye Guozhi Solo Exhibition” opened at Guardian Art Space this month, showcasing paintings by the young Chinese artist that capture lone figures moving through night streets, snow and empty cities.
Often seen from behind — silent, solitary, yet never stopping — the travelers reflect a universal condition: life may have no clear destination, but walking forward is itself an act of meaning.
Cool tones and restrained compositions create space for stillness and reflection, inviting viewers to reconsider their own place in an uncertain reality. The exhibition runs through June 17.
