Surat: In response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, the city’s artistic community has announced a protest rally on Thursday. The demonstration will see participation from theatre artists, sportspersons, and creatives from various fields.
The rally is set to begin at 4pm from Gandhi Smruti Bhavan and will culminate at the district collector’s office, where participants will submit a memorandum expressing their anguish and demands for action.
“City’s artists are deeply pained by the attack, and we are coming together to register our protest. People from other walks of life will also join us,” said Kapildev Shukla, a noted theatre personality and president of the Surat Performing Artists’ Association.
“We urge the govt to bring those responsible to justice and dismantle the entire network behind the attack,” Shukla added.
