Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A special heritage walk was organised at Aurangabad Caves on Saturday to pay tribute to the first death anniversary of historian and writer Rafat Qureshi.Historian and wife of late Qureshi, Dulari Qureshi, shared information about different sculptures at the caves, focusing on traditional attributes and attendants.Attended by a large group of history lovers along with students, the walk also included the dissemination of facts about the caves by Qureshi. “My husband was deep in love with the city’s heritage. Even if he is not with us physically, his life and work inspire many, including me, to explore and conserve our heritage,” she said.Another special heritage walk is organised on Sunday to Balkrushna Maharaj Samadhi temple here to mark the first death anniversary of Qureshi. Architect Ajay Kulkarni, a past convener of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), will guide participants during the walk scheduled between 7 am and 9 am.
