2025 Old First Ward Arts & Heritage Festival


Second annual free, family-friendly celebration to be held Saturday, September 27

The Buffalo music festival scene is doing better than ever. One of the newer, and more entertaining festivals to hit a homer is the Old First Ward Arts & Heritage Festival. Held on Saturday September 27, this family friendly celebration has done a smashing job of creating a well rounded event that appeals to music fans, art lovers, mindful souls, dancers, artisans, animal enthusiasts, photographers, thespians, and puppeteers.

“We’re excited to welcome Buffalonians to the Old First Ward for our third annual festival, where visitors of all ages can enjoy free hands-on arts and musical workshops and concerts  hosted by 9 local bands,” said Event Organizer Sara Heidinger. “We invite all to take part in a day dedicated to creative exploration and cultural celebration!” This year’s theme is Forged in the Old First Ward celebrates the grit, industrial heritage, and unwavering spirit of one of Buffalo’s oldest neighborhoods. Artists and musicians of all disciplines will be present to connect the Old First Ward’s historical significance with modern relevance.

This free festival features immersive art and music workshops, as well as plenty of live music.

The Old First Ward Arts & Heritage Festival, produced by the Old First Ward Community Center, is sponsored by the Assembly Office of Patrick Burke, with grant funding facilitated by Arts Services Inc.
