Ian Roberts, from Townhill, organised a display of his colourful works to prospective buyers in the bowling club on Sunday.
He began painting as a boy, but it was only after he retired at 65 from joinery that he rediscovered his passion and talent for recreating vibrant landscapes.
When getting back into his hobby, he set about portraying local sites, before moving on to paintings based on European sights and animals. He has a special love for painting lions and cubs.

Ian developed his passion and met like-minded artists whilst attending Dunfermline Art Club, who meet in Townhill Community Centre every Wednesday.

He said painting was relaxing, even setting up an art base in his attic, which he joked his wife used to get him out of the way!

Ian said: “The day of the exhibition was quite good apart from the weather, we got a good few people coming out.
“I thought they wouldn’t sell as well, but I was kept going, I sold 20-odd paintings.”
On whether he will do another exhibition in future, Ian said he was open to the idea but needed to get back behind the easel first and get some more paintings done.
