YouTube has been running its Foundry program for emerging musicians for nearly a decade now. The 2025 edition is up and running with three artists taking part so far.
US rapper Anycia, Mexican reggaeton star El Malilla and Brazilian vlogger-turned artist Ana Laura Lopes will be getting financial grants; support and mentorship from YouTube’s team; early access to new YouTube Music features; and billboards in their home regions.
YouTube is also expanding the Foundry program this year with a new tier called ‘Foundry Rising’. It will offer “micro-grants to early-stage artists” who want to get some momentum behind their YouTube channels.
YouTube’s blog post did not say how artists can apply for the latter tier, however: those details are still to come.
