The celebration, which took place at the Willows Centre, Deane, brought together people from across Bolton’s diverse communities, promoting cultural understanding.
The Khidma Ladies Community Group, based in the Willows Community Centre, Deane, has been supporting women in the area for the last nine years.

(Image: Cllr Atcha)The group, which currently has 56 members, aims to bring ladies out of isolation and bring them to a safe environment where they can socialise and have a positive impact on the community.

Dozens gathered for the event, including Cllr Abdul Atcha of Rumworth ward.
Cllr Atcha said: “The Khidma Women’s Group cultural event was a huge success and highlights the strength of Bolton’s diverse communities.

“It was a pleasure to welcome councillors and residents to Rumworth to showcase the best of Bolton for a special celebration.”
Guests were treated to African food, music, traditional dress, art, and storytelling—all showcasing the richness and diversity of African traditions.
The event is a reflection of Khidma’s ongoing mission to empower women, foster unity across cultures, and address local and social issues through education and grassroots engagement.
