The exhibition, titled Totally Tactile, opens on Tuesday, September 16 at Nature in Art, Twigworth, and will run until Sunday, October 19.
Visitors will be able to experience a range of artworks by touch, including pieces made from wood and metal, realistic animals, and abstract interpretations.
Sighted visitors will be asked to wear blindfolds to enhance their tactile experience.
The exhibition showcases pieces from the museum’s main collection, reference library and specially loaned items.
Totally Tactile is part of the museum’s effort to enhance accessibility, particularly for the visually impaired.
This initiative is supported by Museum Development South West and Arts Council England.
The museum has created audio descriptions, 3D models and high-contrast images of its permanent collection.
The exhibition is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm, and is included in the main entrance fee, which is £7.50 adults, £6.75 concessions, U8s free.
