White debuted in 2020 with the “Inhale, Exhale” single. Her most recent EP, Look What You Made Me Do, was released in May 2025. Her sound drawns on
influences ranging from Nina Simone to Radiohead and Jeff Buckley, and she has been a prominent fixture of the live indie circuit. She has also played
international stages such as SXSW in Austin and Rotterdam’s MOMO
Festival, and has shared bills with Nova Twins at O2 Forum Kentish Town
and Corinne Bailey Rae at Somerset House.
“Super
excited to be signing with Marshall Records,” White said. “Marshall
holds the legacy for new sounds in alt music and rock music and being a
part of this roster places me in the realm of creating something really
exciting. Super thrilled to release my debut album and show the world
the Ashaine White sound!”
Steve
Tannett, Director of Music Platforms at Marshall, added: “Ashaine
embodies all the qualities that define true talent. She’s a compelling
performer, an outstanding vocalist and a wonderful songwriter. Watching
her grow whilst recording at The Marshall Studio has been a truly
enriching process and we’re so excited for people to hear it!”
White
has already received airplay from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6 Music and BBC
Introducing, and was nominated for an Ivors Academy Rising Star award.
Radio X’s John Kennedy has previously commented on her work, though
specific plaudits are not detailed here.
The signing comes during Marshall Records’ 10th anniversary year.
