A large mural under a bridge, which pays homage to a town’s heritage, is set to be finished in the coming weeks.

The artwork underneath Abbey Bridge in Evesham, Worcestershire, was created by Krishna Malla, known as Tech Moon, and features references to the town’s history or landscape.

These include the Battle of Evesham, the legend of St Egwin, the River Avon and Vale Gras asparagus – themes which Wychavon District Council said resonated with residents.

The mural was designed with the help of young people from the Ourside Youth Centre along with support from more than 500 residents, the authority said.
