New art exhibition at Bournemouth Natural Science Society


The exhibition, created by second-year fine art students from Arts University Bournemouth, will be displayed at the Bournemouth Natural Science Society (BNSS) and will explore the concept of time through various mediums such as sculpture, painting and moving images.

The opening event will take place on Tuesday, March 11, from 5pm to 6.30pm.

It will then be displayed every Tuesday until April 22, 2025, between 10am and 4pm.

Sculpture, painting & film explore time in AUB’s latest exhibition (Image: BNSS Exhibition) The students have taken inspiration from the museum’s artefacts, which range from archaeology and Egyptology to geology and preserved natural historical specimens.

Steve Limburn, education officer at the BNSS, said: “It is a great pleasure to work with students from AUB.

“It is also pleasing to see students using artefacts from the museum as inspiration for their artwork.

“The opening event is very popular and the high quality of their artwork is displayed to full advantage.”

A spokesperson for the exhibition said: “The passage of time binds us all, but what does time look like in your eyes?

“Join us in this artistic journey not only through time, but also through many different mediums, including sculpture, painting and moving image.”
